The National Democratic Front (NDF) that was to contest the election was dissolved by the military commission on the grounds that it did not meet the required number of members and offices. The party was one of the few parties that could contest the election nationwide. In addition to the NDF, two other parties were dissolved.
The NDF was a party that was formed by a split from the NLD during the 2010 election. It was initially a democracy party, but later joined the military. However, in the end, the military commission cleared a party that could become an opposition party for them. Although it was affiliated with the military, it was cleared early so that no organization could stand in the name of democracy.
There is nothing to be sad for the people. The NDF party leaders betrayed the people and called for a coup with the military before they took power. Currently, some of the party members who betrayed the NLD are leaders in that party. Now, the NDF party, which is planning to join the military and eat its bones, has also ended its story.
