Recently, the military junta has regained control of the Shwebo-Myitkyina highway, and trucks heading to Kachin State are stuck on that road.
The local people are also fleeing their homes due to the military junta‘s military lines. Villages are being burned and destroyed, and locals are being arrested and killed. The people in Sagaing Region have been suffering from these hardships for five years since the coup.
