The group of warships that had been advancing along the Ayeyarwady River had finally reached Bhamo. A total of 17 ships continued to arrive from Htee Cheung and Katha townships above Thabeik Kyin. Before reaching Bhamo, they were trapped for a few days due to KIA attacks near Shwe Ku, which is located on the second river. After trying to reach Shwe Ku three times, they arrived in Bhamo. Since the KIA had destroyed about five warships, it is estimated that about 12 ships were able to reach Bhamo, the final goal of the military group. The number of 12 ships is more than enough to replenish the manpower and weapons of a city in the midst of a battle. It must be said that the military group’s goal was achieved.
