Last year at this time, the second phase of Operation 1027 was in full swing. The revolutionary forces were able to capture about three cities per month. Now the situation has reversed. In July, the military council recaptured three cities that the revolutionary forces had captured: Naung Cho, Moe Bwe, and Thabeik Kyin. They will continue to try to recapture the cities on the border of Shan State and Mandalay Region. The revolutionary forces should cooperate and prepare as best they can.
