The KNU-led Revolutionary Joint Force has captured the remaining military council camp, Uk Hta, on the Myanmar-Thai border in Myawaddy Township, Karen State. About a hundred military council soldiers from Uk Hta camp fled to Thailand since yesterday afternoon.
The revolutionary forces fought a battle to capture the camp in 2022. The military council put up fierce air resistance and failed to capture the camp. The military council made a propaganda film about this situation, calling it a human barrier. In reality, they abandoned the camp and fled to Thailand. Since the Uk Hta camp was captured, only one strategic position remains in the area. The remaining strategic position will be taken sooner or later.
