Since June 27, fierce fighting has been taking place around 7 Mile Village in Thabeikkyin Township, and the military junta has been bombing the area daily, forcing displaced people to flee. The military junta is currently raiding and burning villages between Thabeikkyin Town and 7 Mile Village.
Although the revolutionary forces have captured many of the military bases in Thabeikkyin Township, including Thabeikkyin Town, since mid-2024, they still have to capture the military council camps near 7 Mile Village and Dwin Nge Village. The revolutionary forces have been surrounding and blocking the remaining military bases for almost a year, and the military junta is currently preparing to attack with reinforcements via air.
