The joint forces of the revolution simultaneously attacked nine military council camps on the old Mandalay Road in Yangon. The NUG reported that about twenty military council soldiers were killed and some weapons were seized during the fighting. Two years ago, this kind of news would have been encouraging for the revolution. Some lobbies would have said that the revolutionary forces would be able to control the old Mandalay Road. Even now, some news outlets are reporting that the nine military camps were attacked and then retreated, saying that PDFs had reached 80 to 100 miles from Yangon. For those who understand the current military and political situation, this news is not encouraging news.
