A military council fighter jet crashed today during fighting in Pale Township, Sagaing Region. The plane crashed in a village and what is believed to be the body of the pilot was found among the debris. The type of plane that crashed is unknown. PDF groups in the area say they shot it down.
Fighting has been ongoing in Pale Township since June 2 to capture the Kandaung Police Station. The military council has been bombing the area daily when a jet crashed today.
