Bangladesh has recalled its ambassador to Myanmar, Monowa Hossain, to Dhaka immediately. The Bangladeshi ambassador was recalled after the Myanmar Military Council lodged a protest over the alleged contacts between Bangladeshi officials and the Arakan Army (AA). Bangladesh and the AA have not been on good terms in the past. If there is one neighboring country that did not support the AA at all during the revolution, it is Bangladesh. It is expected that the AA will take advantage of Bangladesh in this matter.
