The Myanmar New Year Thingyan season ended today. This year, Thingyan was a dry one, even in the big cities, because there were no musical instruments and dances. Mandalay, which can be called the Thingyan capital, was dry like never before. Mandalay and the whole country were the same. This year’s Thingyan was the least crowded Thingyan since the 2020 Covid period.
