The 2025 Thingyan festival has arrived again. The heavy rain that preceded Thingyan is still falling until today, the eve of Thingyan. Due to the Sagaing earthquake that struck on March 28, there were no big events in every city this year. While almost everyone is in the heat, not everyone with a heart is interested in celebrating Thingyan. Starting this year, the Myanmar traditional Thingyan festival has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. However, the Burmese have not fully experienced the taste of Thingyan since 2020. I miss the times when I used to have a free and happy life. When will I be able to enjoy it like before?
