India has offered Chin State to join its country to Chin revolutionary leaders. The offer came after two Chin revolutionary groups met in India. The Chin leaders flatly rejected the offer and said they would fight for a federal democracy in Burma. In addition, an Indian MP is also reported to have requested the Indian government to incorporate the Baw Valley region of Sagaing Region into their country. These lobbying demands have come at a time when the civil war is raging, and it is clear that India is being targeted for a back-stabbing. The domestic revolutionary groups will certainly not accept the offer.
