This morning, the military regime bombed Singgut village on the Myinkyun-Simikon road in Myinkyun Township, Mandalay Region, with fighter jets and helicopters for nearly half an hour. The main targets were the People’s Defense Organization (PDO) office and a school with a clinic in the village. The rebels bombed the village with jet fighters and helicopters indiscriminately, resulting in 19 deaths and many more missing and injured. Of the 19 dead, 18 died on the spot, while most of them were hit by bombs and bullets, and their bodies were never found. Among the dead, three people, including a child, were from a family. They were killed by helicopter gunships while they were going to the farm with their carts.
In recent days, the military junta has been carrying out airstrikes and killings in Myingyan, after some Pyu Saw Htee villages in Myingyan were wiped out and the military junta’s extortion gate and barracks in Myingyan were attacked by revolutionary forces.
