A year after the enactment of the Compulsory Military Service Law, the law has been released. The law details the military conscription process. Many of the points are to lock up young people so that they have no way out.
If you run away from the military service when you are called up, you will be sentenced to 3 years in prison, and if you are released, you will have to serve in the military. Young people who flee abroad will not be released either. Young people between the ages of 18 and 35 will now have to get permission from the military council to leave. Young people who are currently abroad will also need permission from the military council to renew their passports. If you are abroad and do not want to serve in the military, you will have to return home and serve in the military if the military council summons you. Otherwise, your passport will not be renewed. In addition, it is known that female military service will be called up. Girls will not be released either. This law is a nightmare for young people in Myanmar. There is no way to escape.
