Two famous beaches in Ayeyarwady Region, Chaungtha and Ngwesaung, have become almost deserted due to the approaching fighting. This is a time when there are usually many tourists, but now the hotels on these beaches have closed. Locals are preparing for the war storm. Some have also moved to Pathein. The increase in the number of people moving has caused house rents in Pathein to rise. The famous Ngapali Beach in Rakhine State has also come under the control of the AA, so if these two beaches are closed, there will be almost no beaches in Myanmar to visit. The number of safe places to visit is gradually decreasing throughout the country.
