The day after the capture of Min Tat, the rebels from Kan Petlet near Min Tat fled, allowing the city to be captured without firing a shot. With the capture of Kan Petlet, southern Chin State is now free of junta troops. Falam, which was the scene of fierce fighting alongside Mindat, is still under attack by Chin resistance groups. In northern Chin State, only the cities of Thantlang and Falam, as well as the capital Hakha and Tetin, remain to be captured. If the two factions of the Chin resistance groups unite, Chin State could become the first region to be liberated.
