The AA army announced today that it has completely captured the army’s Northwestern Regional Command. About a hundred rebels, including three deputy generals, surrendered. The military council bombed its forces as they attempted to surrender. Finally, another military regional headquarters fell under the control of the rebels.
In addition, the AA is continuing its fierce attacks on the town of Gwa in the southern tip of Rakhine State. It has captured one of the two battalions based in Gwa and has cut off all supply routes, so it will soon be able to capture the town. The AA offensive in Rakhine State is quite encouraging.
