The Western Military Council is trying to send thousands of troops from Magway Region to the Western Military Command, Ann, which is under heavy siege by the AA. However, the Military Council’s convoy advancing to Ann to provide reinforcements has been intercepted and is fleeing in the Rakhine plains. The convoy consisted of 22 military vehicles, and two of them were destroyed by the AA’s interception.
While the supply routes were cut off and the Rakhine headquarters was under attack, the Military Council has mobilized troops from Magway Region and is sending reinforcements from the Ann-Padan road. Now, these reinforcements have been destroyed and communications have been lost, and about 500 troops are fleeing into the Rakhine plains.
The Military Council is also using many new troops from Ayeyarwady Region to provide reinforcements in the fighting in Gwe Township, the southernmost part of Rakhine State. Those lines are also being intercepted and many of the young recruits who were forcibly recruited have died or fled. The young men who participated in the military council’s recruitment drive have come very close to death.
