The TLNA, which is fighting in northern Shan State, has announced that it will hold talks with the military council. The decision to hold peace talks is being made because the people in the region are suffering due to the disruption of the flow of goods, and the airstrikes by the military council targeting civilian targets are killing innocent people. In fact, the military council is bombing towns and villages in northern Shan State almost daily. The international community has turned a blind eye to the atrocities of the military council.
The TLNA’s announcement of peace talks has made it difficult for the revolution to flow from northern Shan State to the Shan State or the plains. With the EAO’s uprisings having subsided, the revolutionary groups in the plains will have to fend for themselves.
