In Butalin, Sagaing Region, the military junta, which is killing, looting, and burning villages, raided the Sipa village and killed six locals, including an old man who could not run and a mentally ill person, and beheaded some of them and hung them on a fence.
The six killed were men. One was mentally ill. Three of them had their legs, hands, and intestines cut off and their heads were hung on the fences, and the other three were shot dead. In addition, the military junta burned down about 300 houses in Sipa village throughout the day and night. Two of the bodies killed by the military junta were in their 50s, and a mentally ill monk living in a monastery and an old man in his 80s.
The military junta, which began its march from Butalin on October 12, burned down all the villages it entered. At least 20 local people, including children, have been killed and at least five villages have been burned down. In addition, the military regime has captured about 50 people along the military line as human shields and forced them to carry ammunition and some men have been forced to wear their military equipment.
The military regime is still moving through villages in Butalin Township, killing, looting and burning people, and tens of thousands of local people, including those living in Butalin town, have fled due to the military regime’s aggression.
