Laos is hosting another ASEAN summit. This time, the military council sent a representative from Myanmar. High-ranking representatives of the military council have not attended the meetings since the coup. This time, the Myanmar issue was discussed, but as usual, nothing special. Thailand has proposed holding a separate meeting on Myanmar at the end of the year. It is not yet clear whether Min Aung Hlaing will be allowed to attend.
