Out of the three cities that the revolutionary forces are attacking at the same time in the upper part of Sagaing Division, the city of Pinlebu has been completely captured. The town was captured by the NUG-affiliated PDF troops. The military council made a desperate effort to keep Pinlebu town from falling. Both air and ground reinforcements were sent several times. The revolutionary forces were able to cut off all reinforcements that arrived. The military council used a total force of about 800 people to keep Pinlebu city from falling and resisted for more than 2 months, but in the end, the revolutionary groups won.
