Three days after the MNDAA asked for China-mediated peace talks, the military council launched another airstrike on Lashio. Two powerful bombs were dropped between 10:15 and 10:20 last night.Damage caused by the airstrike is not yet known. Prior to that, on the night of September 13, five civilians were killed and eight were injured when the military council air-bombed Nam Pao Village in Lashio Township. Lashio is being bombed often.
The MNDAA warned that the military council’s bombardment of Lashio would waste efforts to promote the peace process. If the military council continues to drop bombs, the MNDAA may resume offensives at some point.
