Military Council’s Northeast Military Headquarters Lashio city was completely captured by MNDAA yesterday. Since the previous days, there had been intense fighting up to the vicinity of the regional headquarters. Yesterday, the MNDAA troops were able to raid the examination hall inside the headquarters, and the doctors and patients from the hospital were transferred urgently. Due to the encirclement attack by the MNDAA forces, the remaining military council troops retreated and fled, and after some of them surrendered, they were able to completely control the regional headquarters and the city.
Lashio city was attacked by MNDAA on July 3rd and it was captured in exactly one month. It was the first military headquarters captured by the revolutionary groups. Within a short period of one month, the famous Northeast Military Command of the Military Council was brought to its knees by the revolutionary forces.
