On the second day of the 1027 operation, TLNA troops entered Kyaukme and Nungcho town and occupied the military council’s police station and departmental offices. But the city is still not completely under control, and there are still some military council battalions outside the city. They continue to attack those battalions.
Today, the war zone extends north of Mandalay to Matara. The military council’s air defense unit and other military bases near that city are being attacked by the MDL PDF units under the NUG. Currently, TNLA and Mandalay PDF troops are leading the attack in 1027 Operation Part 2, and MNDAA troops are not yet involved.
