Rakhine State AA announced that they had captured all military council camps in Buthidaung Township. Buthidaung to occupy AA in northern Rakhine. Only Rathetaung and Sittwe are left, and after the capture of Rathetaung in late March last year, Buthidaung was captured more than a month later. Buthidaung town has many large and small military bases, including the military council’s strategic headquarters. Because of the capture of that city, the AA was able to control the entire border with Bangladesh. Now there is only one city left to conquer in northern Rakhine.
