The military council and the 3 Northern Brothers held talks again with China’s mediation and agreement. In yesterday’s talks, both sides agreed to keep their armies separate from the agreed areas. In addition, MNDAA is the official government of Kokang Special Region of Shan State and The military council should recognize the territories seized by the 3 brothers as their property. They discussed resuming border trade and agreed that the twin alliances would get 70 percent of the revenue collected from taxes on goods to be traded with China, and the military council would get the remaining 30 percent. After discussing these points thoroughly, they hope that border trade with China will resume. Until now, border trade with China has been stopped since the start of the 1027 operation.
The AA Army has stated that the above agreements are only applicable to northern Shan State and not applicable to Rakhine State where the fighting is intense. In Rakhine State, the AA and the Military Council will continue to fight until the end.
