The fighting in Shan has gradually reached the Shan State capital of Taunggyi. Previously, fighting was only taking place in the areas bordering Karenni and Shan states, but after the PLNO group attacked the military army again and captured Sesai, the fighting gradually spread to South Shan. The military army has been fighting daily to recapture Sesai, but they have failed, and now they are threatening Hobon, 10 miles east of Taunggyi. Due to the heavy fighting in the area these days, Taunggyi Kyington Road, a major trade road, has been closed. More than a hundred vehicles were stuck on the road. After the fighting on the northern Shan front calmed down, the southern Shan state became an unexpected battle front for the military council. Even so, the SSPP, a powerful EAO in the Shan Mountains, has not openly attacked the army. If the SSPP declares war on the military council, it will be able to easily threaten the capital of Shan State, Tung Gyi. In addition, some routes to advance to Nay Pyi Taw may be opened again.
