NUG’s Spring Development Bank has opened its first land bank branch in Kolin, Sagaing Province. Spring Bank has sold $10 million worth of shares and is operating at a fast pace. Kolin is a city occupied by the revolutionary forces under the NUG, so there is a situation where a branch can be opened. But it’s not completely reliable. The military council battalion based in Wontho, near Kolin city, is unexpectedly firing heavy weapons into Kolin city. They are shooting at the townspeople. In the past few days, five local residents have been killed because they fired at Kolin city market. In order to be safe from those big weapons, we need to be able to capture the entire city. Even so, the risk of air threats is still there.
The military council is preparing to attack again the towns of Khampa and Shwe Pyayye, which are occupied by the revolutionary groups in Sagaing Division. So far, the military council has not been able to attack effectively.
