Kyaukgyi Township, eastern part of Bago, the KNU and PDF joint forces attacked and captured Moan town. We were able to clear all the places where the military council was stationed, including the two infantry battalions of the military council in Moan city, such as the city police station and the gate at the top of the bridge, so we were able to take the city. During the city capture battle, about one hundred soldiers of the military council were wiped out, and many of them, including the battalion commander, surrendered. Right now, the joint revolutionary forces are clearing the area with about 1,500 forces. The military council is preparing to call forces from within Yangon to recapture the town. However, the area is already under the control of the KNU, so the military council has little hope of regaining the city. Until now, I have not seen any cities that have been lost.
Moen was the first city to be captured by the KNU, the largest armed organization in southern Myanmar, and the first market town in Bao. Currently, the KNU is continuing to fight for the capture of Kok Krait.
