The three northern ethnic armed alliances, MNDAA/TLNA/AA, have implemented the 1027 operation. Starting early this morning, all the military council camps throughout the northern part of Shan State have been attacked by the troops of the three northern groups. The operation area is quite wide and includes all the northern areas of Lashio City, where the Military Council’s Northeast Military Headquarters is located. It is believed that they mainly targeted the city of Lauk Kai, where gambling circles dominate. Due to the indiscriminate attacks, the military council camps are in chaos and are constantly being occupied. In a short period of time, at least 20 military council camps have been destroyed and captured by revolutionary groups.
Due to the fighting, the resistance groups have announced that Lashio Muse, a major trade road along the China-Myanmar border, will be closed indefinitely. Anyone passing by who does not comply with the announcement will be treated as a support convoy of the Military Council and will be dealt with. Since the beginning of this year, since the fighting between the northern groups and the rebels has been biting, they said that the China-Myanmar trade route will be closed at some point.
