In Mandalay, an ophthalmologist and his family members were reportedly arrested by the Military Council and his home and clinic were sealed off. The doctor’s wife is an associate professor at a distance learning university and has done CDM. Some social networking sites writing in support of the military have accused the doctor’s family of being arrested for supporting the PDF. A few days ago, military council troops arrested the sister of the shop owner of a stationery shop in Mandalay and sealed off their home. They were arrested for posting messages against the military council on social media. These are just speculations and no one knows the reality of the arrest. There are still many such cases throughout the country. The military council often arbitrarily arrests people living in peace without reason.
