After the revoluntionary groups attacked and burned the Nyang Pingyi police station, which is separated by the Chindwin River from Monywa, the headquarters of the Military Council’s Northwest Region, the rebels have been rampaging through the surrounding villages. The camp is located on the other side of the Chindwin River, Pearl, Ying Ma Pin, Townships such as Sal Lingyi are the main camp used by the army to patrol villages. If the villages were to be patrolled, the rebels would cross over from the Hmong side of the village and gather at that camp. When the revolutionary groups occupied the camp, the rebels were shocked. It has become a situation where the revolutionary groups can directly threaten their regional military headquarters. Therefore, they are burning and destroying the surrounding villages of the camp in order to clear the area.
Recently, the territory for the rebels in Sagaing has gradually narrowed. We were unable to enter the various areas of need before. The rainy season must have come. Whatever, we are not in our target yet.
