Last May (14th) and (15th) due to the storm that hit, more than 10 townships in Sagaing Division were flooded and damaged tens of thousands of agricultural crops, and the water entered the homes and damaged the harvested crops and stored food.

Myoung, Sagaing Region due to storm and rain and floods. In Myin Mu, Khin Oo, Yay Oo, Tae Se, Yin Mar Bin, Sar Lin Gyi townships and so on, the crop fields near rivers and streams were destroyed and damaged. Out of 100, only 20% can be harvested and the rest is destroyed. When the fields were filled with water, all the crops were drowned.

In order to estimate the loss as closely as possible, there are thousands of acres of crops damaged by flooding in just three villages in Yinmapin Township. There are about 50 villages in the three townships of Pulay and Sarlingyi that were flooded by the Yama River, and the damage is very high. There are also domestic animals that get washed into the water. Now is the time to farm, and because of the storm, they can’t farm.

Currently, the military group is not allowed to cross the Chindun bridge in Monywa town and is not allowing food to be transported. Locals in Sagaing are worried about food shortages between natural disasters and war, where looting is committed daily and local people are oppressed. The military group did not help the storm-affected people of Sagaing Division and did not stop during the storm and robbery continues to be committed.
