After the military council column that marched from Kalay to supply food and weapons to Hakha, Chin State, was defeated by the local Chin defense forces, the remaining 50 forces stationed in a village 10 miles away from Hakha. The remaining rebel groups were also being attacked by the revolutionary groups every day. The column that came down to give reinforcements from the Hakha side was also intercepted and attacked, so they could not reach that place until now. However, it could have destroyed one of the military council’s plans to strengthen Chin state. Since the military coup, they had only used the land route to strengthen Chin state, where fighting had been going on. They had no other choice. Whenever the column came up, the revolutionary groups resisted as much as they could, but this was the first time that they were able to crush the entire column.
At the southern part of Chin State, a column from Pakukku, Magwe region to Chin state that was going to send supplies to Mutupi was attacked several times on the way, could not go to Mutupi and had to turn back from Mindat. In other words, both military columns for Chin mission did not reach their goal. They will not be able to rise in the future. If this pattern can be maintained, the state may soon become a free zone.
