The military council has declared martial law (martial law) in 37 townships in four regions and four states. As I said the other day, this is an admission that the military council can no longer control those areas. In addition, at the Karlone meeting, Min Aung Hlaing said that 157 townships across the country would need to be strictly controlled. These townships are already under the control of the PDF and ethnic resistance groups, so the military council’s statement is just an act of humiliation that deviates from the actual situation. It is certain that the military council will not be able to regain control of those areas, regardless of whether or not it is a martial law.
