The Military Council promulgated the Political Parties Registration Law for the Fake Election. The summary of that law is that the rest of the parties, except for USDP, are restricted from contesting. For the parties that will compete nationwide, they were asked to find 100,000 party members within ninety days and to deposit 1000,000,000 in party funds. Party offices have been ordered to be opened in about half of all the townships. At the moment, only the military’s USDP and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s NLD party will be able to meet that requirement. The NLD party has boycotted the gold pick ceremony to be held by the military council, so the USDP party will be left without a competitor. And if you don’t register in time, you will be automatically canceled as a party. When the time is right, the law is passed so that there is only one strong party left in the whole country. It is obvious that the military council has been preparing to do everything possible to make the election dirty.
