The military council sentenced 7 Dagon University students to death and there are reports that they will be hanged. The 7 students were accused of shooting and killing the bank’s former lieutenant general in the robbery of the World Treasure Bank in April in South Dagon. They will not really the persons who did the crime.The military council usually arrests and prosecutes whoever they find. Those who participated in the university student revolution made the case even bigger.
The Military Council continues to arrest revolutionary activists and sentence them to death. I haven’t heard of actual executions by hanging after Ko Jimmy case. There is a need for more voices to be heard for those who have been sentenced to death.
