Battles are raging in Mo Mauk and Van Mauk, Kachin State townships. The military council has been patrolling the KIA camps in one of those townships since before the incident in Phakan. The fighting has been intense for about a week, and the military council has been rampantly firing heavy weapons into the residential areas of More Mok because it has not yet achieved its goal. One citizen of the city was killed and some were injured. The military side is adding reinforcements due to daily casualties. I was amazed at the military army that could launch an attack on an EAO like KIA when the whole country was facing multiple fronts. It has been a long time since the Military Council has not been able to launch an offensive against the ethnic armed groups. KIA is sure to respond with good morale as the incident in Anan is hot. So the war rebels will end up.
