During this spring revolution, the worst and the most barbaric act was committed by the Military Council in Kachin State. Last night, a KIA/KIO anniversary celebration concert was held in Anangpa village near Phakant city. At nine o’clock at night, an army plane bombed a party where there were many people with KIO officers, Kachin artists. About 50 people who were in the fairground were killed on the spot and about 100 were seriously injured. It was initially known that among the dead were KIO/KIA officers and famous Kachin artists. Not a fight, It’s not a war zone, it’s a deliberate attack on civilians. This is the military council committing mass murder and a great war crime. Then they openly challenged the entire Kachin ethnic group and the KIO. This issue will not be resolved easily. The effects will be severe on both sides.
