An explosion occurred at Insein Prison, the largest prison in Myanmar. A parcel bomb exploded at the entrance to the prison. Due to the explosion, the prison staff and the people who came to the prison were killed. After the explosion, the army opened fire, injuring pedestrians. It is not yet known which organization did this. People are speculating that it might have been done by the military, or it might have been the handiwork of the city’s secret agents.
Due to the fighting in Karen State, the main trade route with Thailand was closed again today. The trucks had to stop where they arrived, unable to move forward or backward. In this era, traveling has become a form of not being able to trust anywhere.
