Yesterday, I went to the Highway Express stations because I had to send medical supplies to Sittwe, Rakhine State. However, all highway bus lines going to Rakhine side do not accept medical supplies. They said it was banned by the military council. If we can’t even send medicine to Rakhine State’s capital, Sittwe, how can we do it for Rakhine State as a whole? As far as we can hear, the Military Council has started to restrict the flow of goods in Rakhine State more and more. If the fighting gets more intense, the entire state of Rakhine will be cut off. The situation of the army in Rakhine is not good. Even now, more than 40 military council soldiers surrendered to the AA in Kyauktaw and Kyaukphyu towns, where the fighting is not yet intense. The Bangladesh side has said that it will retaliate if another bullet is fired into its territory. The situation will get worse in the next open season.
