In northern Rakhine State, the military used civilian vehicles and manpower. AA announced that they would check the transportation routes because they were already armed. A day after AA made such an announcement, the military council banned all public navigation in northern Rakhine. Because of the abundance of rivers in northern Rakhine, we mainly rely on water travel. When the military council shut down all shipping lines, it was no longer convenient to communicate between cities. Since a long time ago, the military council has closed down communication to the villages in the northern part of Maungdaw. It was not even allowed to shop freely in Maungdaw town. Now the situation has worsened. The Military Council is unable to hold the AA any longer, so it is trying in various ways to make the people of Arakan vulnerable.
AA leaders are meeting with UWSA, one of the largest EAOs in Myanmar, in Shan State. In the current battles in Rakhine state, the military has taken advantage of the air force, so it is possible that AA will visit the UWSA to resolve the issue. The UWSA has Chinese-backed anti-aircraft weapons. If only AA could get air defense weapons, they would be able to control the whole of northern Rakhine.
