There is a Special Advisory Council on Myanmar (SACM), which released a report yesterday. The report examines the extent to which the military council can control Myanmar. Out of 330 townships in the country, 72 townships can be controlled by the military council. The percentage is only 22 percent. Months ago, the NUG announced that it could control 50 percent of the country. This is the data that shows how much the military council is failing. It is interesting that this report comes out ahead of the United Nations General Assembly this month. If the UN General Assembly designates the NUG as the official government of Myanmar, it is too much.
