Kayah State, where there are daily battles, People’s Defense Forces attacked a military council camp in Phaggon Township. More than forty soldiers of the military council were killed and when they were about to reach the camp, the army fired heavily with heavy weapons and had to retreat. On the back, heavy weapons were hit and about 11 pdfs were killed on the defense team’s side. The seized weapons had to be thrown away. In the battles in Welet Township, Sagaing Division, about nine people were killed on the PDF side due to lack of weapons.
In recent battles, including this month, there have been more casualties on the part of the People’s Defense Forces. The main thing is that weapons are not enough. On the PDF’s side, they can only hold automatic rifles as high as they can, while the army uses heavy weapons and anti-aircraft support. And the dogs of war have gradually learned to use PDFs in battle. I have come to realize that there is no ammunition, arms forces. If we can’t find enough weapons and money, it’s hard to move forward.
