The military council is working step by step to cut off public communications and the Internet. Previously, only about cost, 1,000 SIM cards were priced up to 20,000, and 20 percent tax was levied on phone bills. Last month, internet charges were doubled. This time around, the price increase includes home internet lines. This is a clear violation of civil rights.
The current military junta is vulnerable to the dangers of the Internet and phones, and is trying to tackle this issue three decades later. Under the military council, Burma will enter a dark age.
