In big cities like Rangoon and Mandalay, crime is on the rise. In Rangoon, there are many pickpockets on buses.
In the suburbs, there were lootings of items such as mobile phones, and wallets by motorcycles. In quieter areas, people are more likely to break into the yard and steal motorcycles and bicycles.
In Mandalay, it is worse. There have been a series of robberies of motorcycles with knives. No action was taken at the police station. The local police are no longer see in the area. There is no rule of law. In time, it will become anarchy.
