The NUG has reached much international journey. In France, Dr. Sasa said he would consult with lawmakers and propose to the French government to recognize the NUG in their parliament. Last week, the Japanese parliament announced its complete opposition to the military because of NUG’s efforts. The State Department has said it will meet with Secretary of State Zin Mar Aung to help restore democracy in Burma. Australian lawmakers are urging their government to impose more sanctions on the military council, a move by all major powers due to the NUG. It remains to be seen which country will first recognize it.
Yesterday, a few political prisoners were released by the military council. The UN Secretary-General also demanded the release of Win Myint and Aung San Suu Kyi. None of the famous persons were released. The purpose of the military council failed.
