Nationwide protest day.
Citizens, in particular, have requested on government officials to protest as cooperation. If the government citizens’ staff will participate in the protest, the junta’s working process will stop. Hundreds of millions of people gathered in Yangoon today to protest. Sule and Hledan are the focal points. People from Insein and North Okkalapa marched in groups in each township. Most of them are young people. Police are on high alert. Those who did not take part in the protest went on strike at home, 8 pm.
Some government employees are involved in the CDM campaign. Many are not. Not even some of my relatives. Because of fear. The junta has intimidated them like “If you take part in a protest, you will be fired.” And they ordered to leave the government apartment within 24 hours if they cooperate with the protesters. Where does that come from? At MRTV, TV Channel, the staffs are no longer allowed to return home. The military uniforms were closely monitored from the side. Some pictures came up on Facebook of that happening. Some are struggling to make ends meet. There are only two people in Burma who like the military dictator. One who likes and loves “power” without any affords. Another is that the person who likes to take bribes. So, under the military, there are full of corruption and no human rights.
The whole country is waiting for the UN to come. I don’t know if they came or not. There are no reports in the news. The people of Burma are still counting on the international community. It’s our part of expectations.
At 8 pm news in MRTV, the Shwedagon Pagoda was reopened. Monks and nuns are allowed to attend. The public will be allowed to attend in 10 days. Internet connections are very slow these days. There are reports that a section 144 curfew order will be issued. Of course. Just before 8 pm, the real news surfaced on social media. What to do next? What will they do for our plan to strike tomorrow?
At 8 pm in MRTV, Min Aung Hlaing gave a speech. Who would have believed that a coup d’état is according to the reason of fraud? Voting fraud is a matter for the UEC. The constitution states that only the UEC decision can be ratified. And where is the evidence? During the 2008 Cyclone Nargis, they did not care about the people. Every Burmese knows that they lied that they supported the constitution of their choice, regardless of the death toll from the cyclone. They arrested our leaders with unreasonable and unbelievable facts now.
As a citizen who lived under their lies, I was disappointed. I pray that if I were a human being in the next life, may I be not in Myanmar.
In Myanmar (Burma), everything a military dictator says is the law. Everyone has to follow their every word. Good and bad have no right to criticize. When you go out, someone in your community accidentally sees you and punches you. There is nothing we can do about slapping our cheeks.
Burma is unthinkable. I do not know what will happen next. Especially tomorrow.
