In Kachin State, the KIA regularly mounts offensives against its military council. The military council camps near the headquarters have been cleared, and now all the military council camps on the Van Maw Myitkyina highway have been occupied. We are continuing to clear the camps on the road between Van Mao and the Chinese border trade city of Lwejal. In just one day today, we captured 3 camps on that road. Since the start of the operation, more than 40 military bases in Kachin State may have been captured.
In Rakhine State, the activities of the AA have been somewhat calm since the capture of Rati Taung. It seems that they are gaining momentum to continue occupying the remaining 3 cities in northern Rakhine. Or the AA that attacked the military council in Rakhine state for more than four months has not been able to say whether it has started to fight. Although the war has subsided, there is no way the fighting will stop due to the current situation in Rakhine State.
